WaterBee is designed to be simple and private.
WaterBee does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no data leaves your device.
All information you enter: your daily water goal, logged water amounts, saved bottle presets, your streak history, and your collected bees is stored locally on your device only. We never see this data, cannot access it remotely, and it is never transmitted anywhere.
If you enable reminders, WaterBee schedules local notifications on your device. This does not involve any server or third party. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by iOS itself, on-device.
WaterBee does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with or sold to any third party, because no data leaves your device in the first place.
Because all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of your WaterBee data. There is no account or server-side copy to separately delete.
WaterBee does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
If WaterBee's data practices ever change (for example, if a future update adds optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated to reflect that before the change takes effect, and the app will clearly disclose any new data collection at that time.
Questions about this policy can be sent to waterbeeapp@protonmail.com.
